Buffalo Police seize drugs, cash in 3 cannabis raids across city

Drugs, cash, and multiple arrests — Buffalo Police say a weeklong crackdown on illegal cannabis sales turned up large quantities at several locations.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Buffalo Police officers executed three search warrants this week as part of an effort to combat the illegal sale of cannabis in Buffalo.
As a result, police said they seized large quantities of marijuana, concentrated cannabis products, psilocybin mushrooms, and cash. Three Buffalo residents are also facing charges. police said.
Police said the first search warrant was executed on Thursday on the 300 block of 14th Street. Detectives with the Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit led the search. Investigators seized “three pounds of marijuana, nine ounces of concentrated cannabis edibles, and 22 grams of concentrated cannabis pens.”
Nikko Jones, 28, of Buffalo was charged with two felony counts of criminal sale of cannabis; two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of cannabis; and one violation of unlawful sale of cannabis. Jones is scheduled to appear in Buffalo City Court on May 29.
The second search warrant was carried out Friday on the 200 block of Massachusetts Avenue, led by Buffalo Police Narcotics Unit detectives and the New York State Office of Cannabis Management. Officers recovered “10 pounds of concentrated cannabis, 3.8 pounds of marijuana, 70 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and $1,465 in cash” from that scene.
Damone Hall, 47, of Buffalo was charged with one felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance; one felony count of criminal possession of cannabis; two felony counts of criminal sale of cannabis; and one misdemeanor count of criminal possession of cannabis. Hall was scheduled to appear in Buffalo City Court on Saturday.
The third warrant was executed in the 400 block of Elmwood Avenue. Investigators said they recovered “10 pounds of marijuana, 10 pounds of concentrated cannabis, 643 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and $425 in cash.”
Police charged Xavier Kyle, 28, of Buffalo with one felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance; three felony counts of criminal possession of cannabis; and one felony count of criminal sale of cannabis. Hall was scheduled to appear in Buffalo City Court on Saturday.
