Giving Tuesday is the largest global giving day of the year and NORML is proud to take part in this worldwide effort. This year, we have set a goal to raise $25,000 to power our 2026 Cannabis Freedom Fund. Reaching it will take all of us, and we know supporters like you make that possible.

It’s becoming increasingly clear that cannabis consumers are under attack. Legislators in Maryland, Michigan, and Minnesota increased taxes on retail cannabis sales, using consumers like ATMs to balance their budget shortfalls. Lawmakers in Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota, and Texas led efforts to roll back voter-approved marijuana laws, treating cannabis consumers as targets, not constituents. And in Maine and Massachusetts, prohibitionist-backed ballot initiatives are underway to repeal legalization entirely.

We must remain vigilant in NORML’s mission to end marijuana prohibition and protect the rights of cannabis consumers. That is why we need your help. We will need substantial resources to continue our state and federal advocacy efforts, and with you at our side, we know we will succeed.

NORML isn’t bankrolled by big businesses or special interests. NORML is powered by its members and supporters who give generously and volunteer their time to end America’s failed war on marijuana.

It can feel right now like people share very little common ground, yet generosity remains a value that brings us together. Acts of generosity make us feel more connected, they make a real difference in the world, and they inspire others to give back. This spirit is also at the heart of NORML’s work to protect consumers and modernize outdated cannabis laws. Now, more than ever, we need to lift up the values that unite us. It is only by working together that we will legalize America.
