HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WLOX) — An appeal against a new medical cannabis dispensary was denied by Harrison County leaders.
The county’s board of supervisors heard from concerned residents but sided with Kyle Lindley from Intent Holdings to move forward with plans for the dispensary and processing facility on Menge Avenue.
“It was a pretty good conversation in there. There was some valid concerns,” Lindley said. “People stayed up. They don’t understand if there’s going to be odor or if we’re going to have neon flashing lights out there with marijuana leaves and smoke signals kind of coming and everything.”
Lindley said the business aims to help people and provide comfort to the community.
“We’re not trying to tell anybody else what they should or shouldn’t do with their own bodies. And we just like to be kind of left to be able to do our business in the same manner,” he said.
According to state records, this would be the fourth processing facility in Harrison County.
