Photos have emerged of the pickup truck with two large American flags that rammed into a packed Latter-day Saints church in Michigan before a gunman unleashed a deadly shooting spree Sunday.
The silver GMC was pictures lodged in the brick façade of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, its rear bed displaying two flags.
The attack began at 10:25 a.m. as hundreds of worshippers gathered for services.
Authorities said the driver, a 40-year-old man from Burton, smashed through the main entrance, jumped out and opened fire on the congregation.
At least 10 people were shot.
One victim died, while two others remained in critical condition Sunday afternoon.
Several more were hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said.
The gunman was killed after exchanging fire with responding officers. His identity has not yet been released.
The gunman also set fire to the church, which resulted in it becoming engulfed in flames. Police said they fear more victims would be fined in the burned-out ruins.
