Stellantis: Expanded Qualcomm Partnership To Power Next-Generation Vehicles With Snapdrago

May 24, 2026

Stellantis and Qualcomm announced an expansion of their multi-year technology collaboration to power next-generation Stellantis vehicles with Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon Digital Chassis system-on-chips (SoCs).

Under the expanded agreement, Stellantis will integrate Snapdragon Digital Chassis solutions with STLA Brain, the automaker’s electronic and software platform, to enhance cockpit, connectivity and advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) performance across its global vehicle portfolio.

The companies said the collaboration establishes a scalable and unified compute platform designed to accelerate time to market, support continuous feature upgrades and improve the overall driving experience. Snapdragon Digital Chassis SoCs are also expected to help Stellantis improve cost efficiency through platform standardization across its brands and vehicle segments.

The agreement includes the Snapdragon Ride Pilot ADAS platform, which can scale from active safety and regulatory features to Level 2+ hands-free autonomy and beyond. Stellantis plans to use the platform to enable advanced driver assistance features across millions of vehicles globally.

The collaboration builds on the companies’ existing work in cockpit and connectivity technologies and is intended to expand compute performance and AI-driven capabilities across Stellantis’ next-generation vehicle architectures.

As part of the broader collaboration, Stellantis and Qualcomm Technologies also entered into a non-binding letter of intent for Stellantis-owned automated driving and simulation company aiMotive to join Qualcomm Technologies, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.

The companies noted that the collaboration framework covers technology development, licensing and deployment, while still allowing both parties the flexibility to pursue additional software collaborations independently.

Stellantis said the partnership reflects the automotive industry’s growing shift toward centralized, software-defined vehicle architectures that require high-performance compute and AI capabilities to support innovation, efficiency and advanced customer experiences.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our customers deserve seamless, next-generation experiences that continuously evolve to meet their driving needs. By deploying this intelligent platform across our global portfolio, Stellantis is delivering on that promise with unprecedented speed and efficiency. This is made possible through our strategic collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, which allows us to scale smarter, connected capabilities across all our brands.”

Ned Curic, Chief Engineering and Technology Officer, Stellantis

“This expansion reflects the scale and depth of what Qualcomm and Stellantis have built together – a relationship that spans connectivity, digital cockpit and now ADAS and automated driving. Our Snapdragon Digital Chassis enables scalable deployment of unified compute power and advanced driving capabilities across vehicles and brands, and extending that across the full Stellantis portfolio marks a meaningful inflection point for both companies and for the drivers who experience it.”
