Saturday marked the second annual environmental education expo at the Montour Preserve in Danville.
DANVILLE, Pa. — On Saturday, families get a chance to learn more about their environment in Montour County.
It’s the second annual environmental education expo at the Montour Preserve in Danville.
Last year, organizers say they drew more than one thousand people to the expo.
This year, they’ve partnered with local universities, nonprofits, and state agencies to provide guests with a hands-on experience.
Marissa Crames, Vernal School Program Supervisor, says, “I want children and families to see all the opportunities in our area that they might be unaware of and just bring it home and go out and revisit these places and have fun in Central Pennsylvania.
Nearly 30 different activities, such as an interactive beaver dam and fossils, allowed guests to learn just a bit more about their area.
