Hey, Jeff, can you spare a cup of sugar?

One of the most expensive pieces of real estate now on the market in the United States is a land parcel on exclusive Indian Creek Island off the coast of Miami — and a deep-pocketed prospective owner can call Jeff Bezos their neighbor.

Thing is, that buyer will need to be as wealthy as Bezos.

The small, undeveloped plot of waterfront land — just 1.84 acres — is on the market for a staggering $200 million. It’s a sky-high price, but it’s not the priciest now for sale in America. That title goes to a sprawling waterfront compound across the state in affluent Naples, which listed in early 2024 for a breathtaking $295 million.

Whoever buys the parcel, at 9 Indian Creek Island Road, can build their dream house next door to the Amazon billionaire. Bezos has currently paid $237 million for three properties on the island at 11, 12 and 28 Indian Creek Island Road. 

The ritzy island, known as one of the original “billionaire bunkers,” boasts only 41 homes, plus the Indian Creek Country Club, with an 18-hole golf course, on 300 acres. 

The listed land comes with 200 feet on Biscayne Bay and views of downtown Miami. That means there is enough room to build a deep-water dock for a 180-foot megayacht, listing broker Ilya Reznik, of the Reznik Group, told Gimme Shelter.

There is so much wealth on the island that security is tight — it’s privately guarded with restricted access, and by its own police force and a marine patrol.

“It’s a perfect spot to build your dream home,” Reznik said.

Reznik added that the sellers bought the land for $27.5 million in 2018.

“They were planning to build, but then plans changed and they decided to sell,” Reznik said, adding that the sellers are “private people” who are unwilling to reveal their identity.

“It’s more interesting to know that the land is next to Bezos than who the seller is,” Reznik said.

A “conceptual design-build plan” for a 25,000-square-foot estate by builder Manny Angelo Varas of MV Group USA is also available, the listing notes. 

Other homeowners on the island include Tom Brady, Carl Icahn and Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
