Another cannabis dispensary in works in Wheatfield
January 2, 2025
A cannabis dispensary is in development in Wheatfield where another such operation seems to have stalled out.
Joleigh and Adam Wylucki are applying for a special use permit to open a cannabis dispensary in Wheatfield under the name Love Nug. The planned facility would be at 3176 Niagara Falls Blvd., previously home to A Little Something Home Decor & Gifts.
The front left section of the building would be leased out, with the retail area occupying the front and the office, storage and vaults in the back. A comprehensive security system would also be installed.
The planned hours of operation would be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
When presented before the Niagara County Planning Board this past November, members took no action on it. Planner Walter Garrow felt there were some inconsistencies with this in the Wheatfield Town Code, mainly with the chapters for zoning and drugs and drug paraphernalia, wanting the town to make sure they are consistent.
Town Building Inspector Mike Klock said the planning board still has to hold a public hearing for the permit, which will happen during its first January meeting. Members typically do not decide on items that had a public hearing at the same meeting, waiting until the following meeting for a vote.
The site was previously eyed to host a dispensary operated by Wesley Streeter of WesCareTransportation LLC, with no visible progress made there. Klock said Love Nug is a separate project, with the applicants being further along in getting their state certifications and town approvals.
Joleigh and Adam could not be reached for comment.
