A new report has come out indicating a heated feud is currently going on between Amazon MGM Studios and the Broccoli estate over the James Bond franchise’s future, with the former pushing for the next movie to happen right away, while the latter doesn’t trust the studio and are having their own internal disagreements about casting the part. In terms of the franchise’s short-term future, I’m certainly worried that so much infighting may be happening about the series, as it’s already been close to six years since the last movie came out. In the long-term, though, I don’t see it negatively affecting the franchise all that much, as this will at least give all parties a better chance to ensure they’re always on even ground going forward.
