Youngkin announces plan to end taxes on tips at Broad Street diner

Gov. Glenn Youngkin announced Monday morning that he intends to eliminate taxes on tips earned by workers in the hospitality, food and personal service industries.

Youngkin made the announcement at McLean’s Restaurant in Richmond, where he and other Republican leaders donned aprons and served breakfast — though the governor was likely the only server who had to step away to film a remote appearance on Fox News.
