Move Over Annabel’s, There’s a New Hotspot in Town

Annabel’s might have met its match, as the elite now flock to a seemingly unassuming cowboy hat shop in the Rocky Mountains.

Recently, it was revealed that celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Kevin Costner attended an exclusive gathering in the private loft above Aspen’s Kemo Sabe, a store specializing in Western attire.

Adding to the list of high-profile guests, Page Six has now reported that Jeff Bezos and his group were seen celebrating there just this past weekend.

Insiders shared that the Amazon founder was accompanied by his fiancée Lauren Sanchez, Bezos’ four children from his previous marriage to MacKenzie Scott, his brother Mark, and film producer Brian Grazer’s wife, Veronica Smiley, among other close family and friends. The group enjoyed the evening secluded in the VIP area of the store, which was secured and monitored by security personnel who were surprisingly described as “pretty cool and relaxed.”

A Night of Entertainment

The store’s upper level features a rustic bar where Louis B. Middleton serenaded the crowd with cover versions of popular songs like “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers and Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” for about two hours.

According to a source at the scene, “People were really getting into the music, singing and dancing along. Bezos even shook hands with the singer and tipped him.”

Despite their father’s high profile, Bezos and Scott’s children, including their oldest son Preston born in 2000, have been kept mostly out of the limelight.

Kemo Sabe appears to be a favored haunt for the Blue Origin founder, who has previously made quite the entrance at this Aspen hotspot.

Back in 2018, Page Six covered an incident where Bezos spectacularly rode into the store on a Texas quarter horse named Bean—owned by the store’s founder, Tom Yoder—after noticing the horse tied up outside.

“Jeff just hopped on the horse and rode it right in,” a witness recounted. “The customers were thrilled. He’s quite adept on a horse.”

Aside from Bezos and his companion, other notable figures were spotted that day. A source revealed seeing Bella Hadid during the sound check at the store, which has also attracted stars like Rihanna, Prince Harry, and Kyle Richards in the past.

Last week, Jennifer Lopez was seen enjoying herself in the same exclusive VIP section.

Moreover, Bezos and Sanchez were also spotted dining at the upscale Matsuhisa restaurant, in the company of Brian Grazer, Ivanka Trump, and Jared Kushner.

Despite rumors suggesting a holiday wedding in Aspen, Bezos quickly dismissed these claims on Twitter after a Daily Mail article surfaced, reminding his followers, “The old adage ‘don’t believe everything you read’ is even more true today than it ever has been.”

This season, Aspen continues to be a magnet for celebrities, with sightings of Mariah Carey, Heidi Klum, Justin Bieber, Goldie Hawn, Kate Hudson, and Jewel, who performed at the Snow Lodge at the St. Regis.
