Cook County’s Department of Environment & Sustainability, in partnership with Commissioner Morita, is hosting a town hall on the development of the county’s first Environmental Justice policy. The town hall will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, at the Robert Crown Community Center, 1801 Main St.

Cook County’s Department of Environment and Sustainability is establishing an environmental justice policy, which can help inform and guide programming and policy decision-making across the Offices Under the President. In the development of this policy, the county is committed to seeking the input and knowledge of communities that have been historically overburdened by pollution and have experienced historic disinvestment.
