Faculty, students and community members packed into Monsanto Auditorium in the Bond Life Sciences Center to hear Harriet Kung, who works in the U.S. Department of Energy, speak on the challenges of energy transition, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.

Kung, who is the deputy director for Science Programs in the Office of Science at the DOE, spoke to the crowd Thursday morning as part of University of Missouri Chancellor Mun Choi’s Distinguished Lecture Series.
