F1 and another motorsport to follow in 2025

2025 has arrived and international motorsport offers interesting events around the globe.

In different categories, world-class drivers compete in these events and motor sport fans should not miss these races, either because of their historical importance and/or because there are Mexicans involved in the event.

These are the 25 international motorsport events that we believe should be followed:

1 – Dakar Rally | January 3 -17

2 – E-Prix Mexico | Formula E | January 11

At the Hermanos Rodríguez Autodrome.

3 – Monte Carlo Rally | WRC | January 23-26

First date of the World Rally Championship. An emblematic road race among the mountains of Monte Carlo, under the Mediterranean night and snowy settings.

4 – 24 Hours of Daytona | IMSA | January 25-26

On the infield of Daytona International Speedway

Will any Mexican be in the race?

5 – Rally Sweden | WRC | February 23-26

A very unique rally, with all that snow on the route.

6 – Daytona 500 | NASCAR CUP | February 26

At Daytona International Speedway Top race in the NASCAR Cup series and in which we will have Daniel Suárez.

7 – St. Petersburg | IndyCar | March 2

The Indy campaign opens, a series in which the Mexican Pato O’Ward competes.

Last year the Monterrey native won this race.

8 – Echo Park Automotive Grand Prix | NASCAR CUP | March 2

First date of the Cup on a permanent circuit; at the Circuit of the Americas in Texas.

Pay attention to what the Mexican Daniel Suárez can do, who is usually strong on this type of tracks.

9 – Bahrain GP | F1 | March 16

The top category of motorsport opens the season in Sakhir.

Lewis Hamilton’s debut with Ferrari.

10 – Australia | F3 | March 16

Noel León debuts with Prema at Albert Park in Melbourne. Track that F1 will visit later in the year.

11 – Japan GP | F1 | April 6

On one of the best tracks in the world: Suzuka

12 – Indy 500 | IndyCar | May 25

The most famous race of the series at the legendary Brickyard in Indianapolis, where Pato O’Ward will seek victory.

Possibly the most important event for the Mexican fan in 2025, because a Mexican has real options to win.

13 – GP Monaco | F1 | May 25

And on the other side of the Atlantic, also a famous race. The most glamorous in the world and that will continue in the Great Circus until 2031.

14 – NASCAR Cup Series Race at Mexico City | NASCAR Cup | June 15

15 – 24 Le Mans time | WEC | June 14-15

The endurance race that almost every driver wants to run at least once in their life.

Closes the ‘triple crown’ of motorsports. Only Graham Hill has won the Monaco GP, Indy 500 and the 24 of Le Mans.

16 – GP at Road America | IndyCar | June 22

On one of the most complicated tracks on the calendar. A race that gives prestige to the drivers who win it.

17 – Great Britain GP | F1 | July 6

Silverstone, scene of the first F1 race, welcomes Lewis Hamilton for the first time dressed as a Ferrari.

How many drivers will have won a race by then? 2025 promises one of the most competitive seasons in the history of the series.

18 – Sonoma Raceway | NASCAR Cup | July 13

On the permanent circuit in California. Track on which Daniel Suárez won his first Cup race.

19 – Belgian GP | F1 | July 27 Along with Suzuka, Spa is another of the great technical challenges that F1 presents.

How many teams will have already won a GP this year? In 2024 there were four winning teams and in 2025 one more could be added, since Alpine closed very strong.

20 – Rally Finland | WRC | July 31 to August 3

The most complicated rally. Crazy speed in the middle of the Finnish forests with the trees very close to the road. Nerves of steel are needed to fly between the Finnish land.

21 – Nashville | IndyCar | August 31

IndyCar closes its 2025 year at the Tennessee oval.

22 – Italian GP | F1 | September 7

Another of the historic races of the Grand Circuit, with one of the most colorful podiums on the calendar.

23 – Monza | F3 | September 7

Closing of the season of the promotion category.

How did Noel León fare?

24 – GP Mexico | F1 | October 26

The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez receives F1 without Checo Pérez, since his return to the category.

What will happen with this Grand Prix? 2025 is his last year of contract

25 – GP Abu Dhabi | F1 | December 7
