MicroEra Power is providing sustainable energy to the people of Rochester and are continuing to grow.

CEO and Co-founder of MicroEra Power Eleanor Rusling joins ARC Rochester to discuss their business and the growth they continue to see.

“We are a leading innovator of thermal energy storage,” says Rusling.

Their mission is to provide “better and more sustainable energy for keeping people safe,” she says.

Rusling has seen the impact of not having a reliable source of energy has on people. “The work that we’re doing is a critical piece to the renewable energy transition,” she says.

She explains that “the work we’re doing is using renewable intensive or off peak electricity to power a heat pump, a chiller, anything that can create heat or cold.”

Using renewable or off peak energy can help “building owners can save a lot of money on their heating and cooling,” she says.

Despite being based in Rochester Rusling says, “we have global relevance.” She notes that the entire world is going through a climate crisis and could benefit from energy sources like theirs.
