EPHRATA – Grant Public Utility District (PUD) has approved a five-year Purchase Power Agreement with Goose Prairie Solar Development, securing a significant addition to its renewable energy portfolio. The agreement guarantees Grant PUD 100% of the energy and capacity produced by an 80-megawatt solar generation facility located in Moxee, Washington.

This project emerged from Grant PUD’s recent all-source request for new power generation resources, aimed at meeting the increasing energy demands of its growing customer base. The 80 megawatts from Goose Prairie represent a major portion of the 120 megawatts of solar energy the utility plans to add to its portfolio by 2026.

The new solar capacity will enhance the utility’s ability to support customer growth while advancing the integration of renewable energy.
