Coca-Cola CEO Makes Trump’s Diet Coke Dreams Come True

HIS ONE TRUE LOVE

Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey has gifted President-elect Donald Trump a one-of-a-kind commemorative bottle of Diet Coke to celebrate his upcoming inauguration. “Tonight, President Trump received the first ever Presidential Commemorative Inaugural Diet Coke bottle from the Chairman and CEO of Coca-Cola Company, James Quincey,” Trump’s Deputy Director of Communications Margo Martin announced on X Tuesday, alongside a photo of Trump and Quincey posing with the bottle. The glass bottle features a unique label showcasing an image of the White House along with the slogan, “The Inauguration of the President of the United States Donald J. Trump.” Trump’s public declarations of love for Diet Coke precedes his first presidency. In 2012, the president-elect made an iconic post on what was then Twitter, writing that he had never “seen a thin person drinking Diet Coke.” In another tweet, Trump said he would “still keep drinking that garbage” despite the company not being “happy” with him. During his first term, Trump also had a big red button on his desk at the Oval Office to order Diet Coke from an aide.

Italian Soccer Club Fires Falconer for Posting Pics of His X-Rated Implant

NSFW

Italian soccer club Lazio has fired the falconer who handled their mascot, an eagle named Olimpia, after he posted footage online showing off his new prosthetic penis. The bird trainer, Juan Bernabé, posted photos to his private social media accounts showing the result of his penile implant surgery, which the Associated Press reports was for non-medical reasons. “The club realizes — and shares — the pain that the fans will feel at the loss of the eagle in the next home games, but believes that it is not possible to be associated with a person who, by his own initiative, has made the continuation of the relationship unacceptable,” Lazio said in a statement, while also adding that it was “impossible” to have their “historical symbol” associated with Bernabé. Meanwhile, the falconer claimed that he has no regrets and told Italian radio show La Zanzara in an interview Monday that he felt “very proud” to have been part of Lazio. Bernabé was previously suspended by Lazio in 2021 after doing a fascist salute while chanting Benito Mussolini’s nickname at the end of a match. “I admire him so much,” he said of the Italian dictator in his interview Monday.

Russian Tennis Star Smashes Camera in Australian Open Outburst

OFF THE RAILS

Daniil Medvedev emerged victorious in an Australian Open match on Tuesday, but not without a signature outburst. The Russian tennis player repeatedly smacked a camera in the middle of the net with his racket out of frustration when he lost a point to Thailand’s Kasidit Samrej. Medvedev came out on top after five grueling sets, 6-2, 4-6, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2. The chair umpire cited the Russian ace for racket abuse in the third set. “What I have to say is that the camera was very, very strong,” Medvedev joked in a press conference after the match. “My racket didn’t handle the damage, but the camera did.” The player said he was hoping the fine wouldn’t be too costly. “When I did it, I didn’t want to smash the camera to pieces. When I saw the racket I was like, ‘Okay, time to get a new one I guess.’” Medvedev is set to face 19-year-old American Learnier Tien in the second round.

Caitlin Clark’s Alleged Stalker Won’t Shut Up During Court Hearing

WEIRD

The Texas man facing felony charges for stalking WNBA star Caitlin Clark could not stop talking during his initial hearing at an Indianapolis courthouse. Immediately after Judge Angela Davis told him “good morning,” Michael Lewis, 55, leaned back in his seat and said “guilty as charged.” She later admonished him after he told the court to “throw me the booky.” At one point, Lewis tried to point out that the court documents did not list the “junior” suffix in his name. “I’m free,” he blurted out. “Guess you got the wrong guy.” Lewis was arrested at an Indianapolis hotel on Sunday after he continued to send Clark threatening messages on social media—even after police gave him a warning, local station Fox 59 reported. The court entered a not guilty plea for Lewis, who was represented by a public defender. He was ordered to stay away from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Indianapolis Fever play, as well as Butler University’s Hinkle Fieldhouse, where Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery works as an assistant coach. The judge placed Lewis’s bail at $50,000, but the alleged stalker said he had no intention of posting it. “I don’t want bond, bail, or whatever,” he said. “I’m here. I’m staying here.”

‘Second Buddy’ Mark Zuckerberg Plans Big Party for His New Pal Trump

RED CARPET TREATMENT

A black-tie ball invitation reveals that billionaire Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to literally roll out the red carpet for MAGA’s elite on Jan. 20 as part of the inaugural festivities in Washington, D.C. Zuckerberg is set to throw an inauguration ball for President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance alongside MAGA magnate Miriam Adelson, Chicago Cubs co-owner Todd Ricketts and billionaire CEO Tilman Fertitta. The ball marks the latest show of Zuckerberg’s fealty to the incoming presidential administration, following his shock roll back of Meta’s content moderation policies and appointment of Joel Kaplan, one of the company’s most high-profile conservatives, and Trump pal Dana White to company roles. However, it all seems to have paid off for Zuckerberg. The Facebook founder will be seated just a high-five away from fellow billionaires Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos as their new friend ascends to the presidency for the second time.

DeSantis and Trump Golf as Key Decision Looms

BOGEY MAN

President-elect Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis played a round of golf on Tuesday as the Florida governor prepares to name his replacement for soon-to-be top diplomat Senator Marco Rubio. Rubio’s confirmation hearing to become Trump’s Secretary of State is scheduled for Wednesday. With Rubio expected to be one of the first Cabinet members to be sworn in, the Florida senator’s seat becomes open for DeSantis to fill until an election in 2026. Politico earlier reported that the governor was leaning toward state Attorney General Ashley Moody. DeSantis said he has not made a final decision but emphasized that the pick must be on board with Trump’s agenda and have a track record in addressing illegal immigration. Like Rubio, DeSantis previously had a rocky relationship with Trump, but the two have made amends since the presidential primary. Trump briefly mulled replacing Pete Hegseth with DeSantis as Defense Secretary, sending MAGAland into meltdown.

BUYER’S REMORSE

Well that didn’t take long. Less than two weeks after re-joining Instagram, Meghan Markle and her husband Harry have launched a withering attack on the social media network’s parent company Meta for abandoning its fact checking program. In a statement on their website, Sussex.com, which was immediately ridiculed in some quarters as pompous and inappropriately political for titled British royals, Meghan and Harry urged “those enabling Meta’s profits” to lobby the company to change course, but did not mention Meghan’s own return to the platform to promote her now-postponed cooking show, which is likely to have driven millions of page views alone. The note said Meta’s move “directly undermines free speech” and accused the company of having no “integrity” and being “deeply deceptive.” In the extraordinary diatribe, Meghan and Harry accused Meta of “allowing either ego or profit, likely both, to guide decisions that affect billions.” Nile Gardiner of the Heritage Foundation responded to the message by saying: “Why are Harry and Meghan engaging in U.S. political issues, such as censorship by social media companies, while holding the royal titles of Duke and Duchess of Sussex?”

Pete Hegseth Brutally Fails Dem’s Foreign Affairs Pop Quiz

FAILING GRADE

Pete Hegseth flunked a pop quiz from a Senate Democrat during his confirmation hearing. The U.S. Army vet and former Fox News commentator was quizzed by Tammy Duckworth, herself a veteran, about how many countries are in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and “what type of agreement we have with at least one of those nations?” Hegseth immediately conceded he did not know how many countries were in the association. More shockingly, however, was what he said next: “I know we have allies in South Korea, in Japan, and…in Australia.” Duckworth immediately cut off Donald Trump’s defense secretary pick to point out that none of the countries he mentioned are actually in ASEAN. “I suggest you do a little homework before you prepare for these types of negotiations,” she added. The brutal correction came in the latter half of Hegseth’s four-hour confirmation hearing, which wrapped with a slew of softball questions from the newly-elected Sen. Tim Sheehy that included the Montana Republican asking how many pushups he can do (Hegseth answered he did five sets of 47 that morning).

Man Almost Killed by Runaway Plane While Taking Selfies

PLANE LUCKY

A tourist said he was taking selfies when a plane skidded off a runway and almost hit him. Rogério Prado was strolling down a beach last week in Ubatuba, in São Paulo, Brazil, when he clocked the aircraft coming into shot as he worked on his selfie game. The holiday-maker then inadvertently captured the moment the Cessna jet spun off the runway at Gastão Madeira State Airport and careered through a fence, killing the pilot. Four other people, a couple and two children, managed to escape the fireball alive. Rogério told G1 of his lucky escape: “I was taking selfies right in front of the airport runway… [then the plane] was heading in my direction. I could only hear the noise and see it leaving the runway on my phone.” He added that the plane whizzed past just four meters from him. “I didn’t even have time to run, just to turn my back, and he had already crossed the fence, made the first impact, then crossed the track and passed exactly where I was before,” he recalled, adding that he sustained burns to his arm and back. He and other tourists on the beach broke into the plane using rocks, to save the passengers.

WATCH: Hegseth Confirmation Interrupted by Parade of Screaming Demonstrators

UNHINGED OUTBURSTS

Several different protestors shouted over Pete Hegseth’s opening statement at his confirmation hearing for defense secretary and had to be removed by security. “You are a misogynist,” one protestor yelled, calling Hegseth “a Christian Zionist” and screaming about the war in Gaza, according to CNN. But seconds after Hegseth, Donald Trump’s highly controversial pick to oversee the military, continued his speech, more shouting erupted, and another protestor was removed. Hegseth showed little reaction, sipping his water until the outburst was quelled. Even then, it wasn’t long before another demonstrator interrupted and was carried out on his back by several Capitol Police officers. Roger Wicker, the senator who chairs the Armed Services Committee, assured that any further protestors would be removed. “I see a pattern—attempted to be inflicted on the committee, and we’re simply not going to tolerate that,” he said. When he could speak during his opening statement, Hegseth vowed to return a “warrior culture” to the Department of Defense. Since Trump announced Hegseth as his pick, the former Fox News host has faced a slew of concerns about his character and fitness—including allegations of infidelity, sexual assault, alcohol abuse, and financial mismanagement as a non-profit executive.
