October 17, 2024

RIVESVILLE, W.Va. (WV News) — A new 27-acre solar power farm has been completed by Mon Power and Potomac Edison in Rivesville, and its 14,000 solar panels are generating enough electricity to power nearly 1,000 homes.

The farm can produce up to 5.5 megawatts of clean energy, and marks the company’s second solar site in the state. FirstEnergy Director of Energy Services Douglas Hartman said his team is happy to be building the sites thanks to action from the West Virginia Legislature in 2020.
