New York man arrested after authorities raid CT vape shop, find cannabis

A New York man was arrested on drug charges after police reportedly found a number of cannabis products at a vape shop in Norwalk on Monday.
The cannabis was found as members of the Norwalk Police Department’s Special Services Division carried out a search warrant at Wally’s Convenience Store and Smoke Shop at 336 Westport Ave., according to police.
Police said “many illegal cannabis products” were found and seized by authorities.
Ayat-Allah Nagi Mohamed Alsaidi, 21, of the Bronx, New York was arrested on charges of possession of cannabis with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of restriction of substances regulated and illegal sale of cannabis, police said. He has been staying at the store for the past two weeks, according to police.
Police said Alsaidi was also charged with illegal sale of cannabis in connection with a “separate case.” He was released on a $10,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on Jan. 7.
