Police uncovered a cannabis farm during a dramatic early morning raid.

Officers forced their way into the home in the Heaton area of Bolton on Saturday. Inside they found around 200 cannabis plants.

They have been seized and destroyed while the investigation continues.

In a statement GMP Bolton said: “This morning, officers from the Bolton North Neighbourhood Team, supported by colleagues from the Bolton West Neighbourhood Team executed a warrant under S23 Misuse of Drugs Act at an address in the Heaton area of Bolton.

“Entry was forced into the property and officers discovered a cannabis farm inside the address. Approximately 200 plants have been seized and destroyed, with an investigation ongoing.”
