November 15, 2024
BOSTON, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – The Massachusetts State Legislature passed an act promoting a clean energy grid, advancing equity, and protecting ratepayers.
The act aims to accelerate clean energy deployment across the state.
If signed into law by Gov. Maura Healey, the new bill will promote energy storage and allow for longer-term contracts for offshore wind power.
Massachusetts has a goal of producing 40% of its electricity from renewable energy sources by 2030.
