Love Actually
“If you look for it, I’ve got a sneaky feeling you’ll find that love actually is …” now on Amazon Prime!
Starting off strong, Richard Curtis’ Christmassy rom-com, which first premiered in 2003, is a newcomer to Prime this year.
Starring the likes of Hugh Grant, Keira Knightly, Emma Thompson, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, and Bill Nighy to name a few, the film follows several different love stories, ranging in all shapes and sizes, at Christmas time meaning there is a storyline in it for everyone to relate to.
The movie covers topics like grief, first love, awkward love, as well as the slow burner kind of love.

The Holiday
Another Christmas classic and all-time favorite that has surprisingly only just landed on Prime is The Holiday.
Hallmark Holiday movie filmmakers probably wish they could pull off romantic comedies like Nancy Meyers did back in 2006, and it is likely fans wish they could, too.
The movie sees a British woman named Iris Simpkins (played by Kate Winslet) and an American woman, Amanda Woods (played by Cameron Diaz), who have had their hearts broken one too many times.
Although the two ladies are strangers, they agree to swap houses—and lives—for Christmas.
Despite wanting to steer clear of men, Amanda quickly meets Iris’ brother, Graham Simpkins (played by Hollywood heartthrob Jude Law), and falls hard for him. Meanwhile, in America, Iris connects with a more unconventional guy, Miles Dumont (played by Jack Black).

Die Hard
It may not be a “classic” Christmas film, but many people worldwide rank John McTiernan’s Die Hard high on their festive watch list. And lucky for them it’s available to stream on Prime!
Die Hard is considered a Christmas film because of its setting: It takes place on Christmas Eve at an office Christmas party that’s invaded by terrorists.
The film also features a slew of Christmas tunes, including Let it Snow, Winter Wonderland, Christmas in Hollis, and Ode to Joy. The film also treats viewers to a rendition of Jingle Bells by Bruce Willis.
Christmas drives the movie’s plot, including John McClane’s attempts to repair his relationship with his wife.
James Stewart and Donna Reed in It’s a Wonderful Life (Image: YouTube/Amazon Prime Video)
It’s a Wonderful Life
Here’s one for the grandparents! Of course, it wouldn’t be Christmas without the holiday centerpiece, It’s a Wonderful Life.
The immortal classic stars James Stewart as George Bailey — a man ready to end it all before a guardian angel (Henry Travers) steps in to save the day by revealing to him exactly how the lives of the people of Bedford Falls would have unfolded without him.
The vision is a revelation to George, whose second chance at life comes with rare, ecstatic gratitude.
Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol (Image: YouTube/Amazon Prime Video)
A Christmas Carol
There’s not one, but several versions of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol available to stream on Amazon Prime Video in the days leading up to Christmas.
A Christmas Carol follows the famous story of a miser who learns compassion after being visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve.
Ebenezer Scrooge is first visited by his former business partner Jacob Marley, who has been punished for his selfish and avaricious life by being forced to wander the Earth in chains made of the things he stole.
Jacob warns Scrooge that he will be visited by three spirits over the next three nights and that he has a chance to redeem himself by changing his ways.
