In addition to solar power, the UAE is set to become a major global player in hydrogen production, with plans to produce 1.4 million metric tons of hydrogen annually by 2031.

This will cement the UAE’s status as a leader in green and blue hydrogen technologies, contributing significantly to global decarbonization efforts.

These initiatives align with the UAE’s Energy Strategy 2050, which focuses on solar, wind and nuclear energy, carbon capture, and hydrogen.

Together, these strategies are key to reducing the nation’s reliance on fossil fuels and fostering a more sustainable energy future.
