Waitlist open for Ann Arborites who want sustainable energy via new city utility

ANN ARBOR, MI — Ann Arbor is moving into the final planning and design phase to launch a city-run sustainable energy utility now that city voters have approved it.

The goal is to get the public utility up and running within 18 to 24 months and start supplementing DTE Energy service in the city with local investments in renewable energy, officials said.
