PULLMAN – A team of Washington State University researchers have received a large federal grant for a renewable energy project. The team has earned a four million dollar grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.

The WSU researchers will work to convert renewable energy into liquid fuels. The research intends to produce sustainable fuels that can be transported and stored easily like gas and oil. The work is funded for three years.

The WSU team will be working with researchers from other institutions including Stanford.
