In a major drug bust in Nedupuzha in Thrissur, the police seized four kilograms of cannabis and 70 grams of MDMA from a rented house. Three young men, including two brothers, were arrested along with their vehicles. The operation was part of the ongoing “Operation D-Hunt” carried out under the guidance of District Police Chief R. Elanko.

The arrested were Thekkilakkadan Alan (19) of Arimpur, his brother Arun (25) and Kanakkapadikkal Anjaneyan (19) from Aranattukara. They were preparing drugs for sale at a rented house on Mashupadi Road, Nedupuzha.

The arrests were based on confidential information that Alan and Arun were preparing to sell MDMA and other drugs. The area had been under police surveillance for the past few days.

Late on Thursday night, when police knocked on the door of the house, two persons escaped. As the police entered the house, they found Alan, Arun, and Anjaneyan packing cannabis and other drugs into small bags for sale. They were under the influence of drugs.

The three were immediately taken into custody. A search operation is underway for the two individuals who managed to flee. Information gathered from the arrested suspects’ mobile phones is being used to track down their customers.
