Amazon driver allegedly sexually assaulted minor and woman while on the job

GLENDALE, Calif. (WKRC) – An Amazon delivery driver was accused of sexually assaulting a minor and a woman while on the job.

Fernando Barreto-Hernandez, a 24-year-old Los Angeles resident, has been identified by Glendale Police Department detectives as the suspect in the alleged sexual assault of a woman on Jan. 21, 2025, near Brand Boulevard and Chevy Chase Drive in Glendale.

Barreto-Hernandez, an on-duty Amazon delivery driver at the time, was arrested by Los Angeles Police Department detectives on Jan. 24, 2025, for a similar incident involving a female minor in Los Angeles in December 2024.

According to The Los Angeles Times, Barreto-Hernandez was charged with lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years old and touching a person against their will for sexual arousal.

On Feb. 21, 2025, Barreto-Hernandez appeared in court for the Los Angeles case, during which he was also arrested for the Glendale incident.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed a combination of felony and misdemeanor charges related to both cases. Barreto-Hernandez was currently out of custody on bond.

Authorities noted that Barreto-Hernandez has worked for several delivery companies, including Amazon, Amazon Flex and FedEx.
