NATCHEZ — A patient drive for those who may qualify for medical cannabis or those simply seeking information will take place on Wednesday, March 19, at Bruce Professional Counseling Services at 114 Jefferson Davis Boulevard in Natchez.

The drive lasts from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. hosted by Truly Family Healthcare Clinic and River City Primary Care and Wellness Center.

Medical cannabis practitioners will be on-site to assist attendees with their certification or renewal of their certification for medical cannabis or to simply provide education, said Yolanda Long, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

“A lot of people don’t know they qualify or what qualifies them,” Long said, adding the doctors on site will be able to educate prospective patients and provide those answers.

To prepare for the patient drive, patients will need to bring any medical records showing that they have a qualifying condition as well as $100 for a state-required doctor evaluation or $25 for veterans, medical personnel or first responders or $25 for renewal of cannabis cards.
