Merino to lead Beazley’s Renewable Energy team in Spain & Portugal

Specialty insurer Beazley has appointed Teresa Merino as Renewable Energy Regional Manager for Spain & Portugal, with immediate effect.

Beazley logoThis strategic move comes as Spain and Portugal pursue ambitious renewable energy targets, driving a growing need for specialised risk management and insurance solutions to support the development of an effective renewable energy infrastructure in the region.

Teresa’s leadership, combined with her extensive industry knowledge and multilingual capabilities, will be invaluable as we build on our presence in Europe and deliver on our commitment to supporting businesses in an era of accelerating risk.”

Merino is joining the company with over three decades of experience in property underwriting and renewables risk management.

She has previously served at Swiss Re, where she led the reinsurer’s Property and Property Energy teams in Spain, as well as holding senior roles at XL Group and MAPFRE Global Risks.
