BARRE, Vt. (WCAX) – A Vermont renewable energy company has donated $10,000 to Spaulding High School’s tech ed program.
Burlington-based Encore Renewable Energy says the money will support Spaulding Educational Alternatives’ workforce development programming, including solar panel installers and wind turbine technicians.
Encore says as the need for clean energy rises — they want to use their business as a force for good.
“Supporting local educational and professional training opportunities ultimately creates new pathways for individuals to enter the clean energy workforce, with the required skills and knowledge to be successful, and to make deep lasting impacts into their communities,” said the company’s Chad Farrell.
A solar project next to the school is already underway and set for completion late this summer.
