NEW YORK (WBNG) — The New York State Office of Cannabis Management launched its higher education campaign on April 17.

Officials said it works by directing people to the office’s online library, which contains information about laws, products and safety.

“We want to make sure that the public health and education materials and information is upfront and center in these discussions and that people have access to that information wherever they may be in terms of the cannabis ecosystem,“ said NYS OCM Public Health and Education Deputy Director Lyla Hunt.

Officials said the initiative aims to meet people where they are, by bringing the facts to public spaces and the digital sphere.
