Student receives citation charge after bringing cannabis to Charles County middle school

CHARLES COUNTY, Md. (7News) — A 13-year-old at Benjamin Stoddert Middle School was given a juvenile citation charge for bringing cannabis on school grounds.

A school administrator found the drugs in the student’s bookbag on Wednesday, and it was recovered by a school resource officer, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).

Along with the citation, the 13-year-old also faces disciplinary action aligned with the Charles County Public Schools Code of Student Conduct.
