AGFC starts new club and competition for students in Arkansas

ORDER TO KEEP THESE STANDARDS FROM GOING INTO EFFECT – WHILE THE LAWSUIT PLAYS OUT. ARKANSAS GAME AND FISH ANNOUNCING NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT. IT’S CALLED “GENERATION CONSERVATION.” IT’S A NEW CLUB FOR STUDENTS ACROSS THE NATURAL STATE– THAT WILL CULMINATE WITH A TWO DAY SUMMIT IN NOVEMBER. THERE WILL BE MULTIPLE CONTESTS, CHALLENGES AND EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS AS THEY COMPETE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS. FROM LEARNING HOW TO IDENTIFY DIFFERENT ANIMALS– ARCHERY CHALLENGES– OR EVEN DEVELOPING ONLINE MAPS
AGFC launches new club for students to learn about the environment
A new club for students across Arkansas called “Generation Conservation” offers new opportunities for students and teachers to learn more about the environment. The club launched by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission will culminate in a two-day summit for students and educators at the Hot Springs Convention Center and Bank OZK Arena on Nov. 5-6. There will be multiple contests, challenges and experiences for students to test and expand students’ outdoor skills and conservation knowledge as they compete for scholarships. Students can sign up to learn how to identify different animals, participate in archery challenges, and even develop online maps. Competition details and registration information will be covered in a series of informational webinars on the AGFC’s website in May and June.Click here to learn more and register for an informative session.
