UNDP and the Government of Norway have signed a framework agreement to develop Syria’s Renewable Energy Master Plan. Over the next 12 months, the plan will assess future energy demand, identify renewable energy potential, and outline priorities for policy, infrastructure, and capacity development. By integrating with the National Electricity Master Plan, the initiative aims to boost energy access, reduce emissions, enhance sustainability, and support a just energy transition as part of Syria’s long-term recovery.
