Chicago Cannabis Company Bets Big On Edibles With New Wrigleyville Shop

May 22, 2025

WRIGLEYVILLE — Cubs fans and neighbors can now find THC-infused treats just steps from Wrigley Field.

Edibles Express, 3759 N. Racine Ave., opened last week, making it the third storefront from the worker-owned Chicago Cannabis Company. The new location is the first to focus exclusively on edibles, founder Tomasz Gliszewski said.

“We’re still a small company, these are small shops, but this one is focused purely on edibles,” Gliszewski said. “Drinks, baked goods, candies, gummies, things like that.”

Chicago Cannabis Company started in 2018 after the federal Farm Bill legalized a range of hemp-based cannabis products. After launching online, the company opened a storefront in Lincoln Park in 2022, followed by a North Center location in 2023.

The Wrigleyville shop is an experiment in the company’s evolution, and one driven by what customers already prefer, Gliszewski said.

“We noticed how many people were just buying edibles when they came into our other shops,” he said. “So this is about giving them more options but keeping that same quick and easy experience.”

All products are hemp-derived, which allows Edibles Express to offer online ordering, card payments and delivery through apps like DoorDash.

The store also features THC-infused drinks developed in partnership with Marz Brewing, including variants of its Stupid Soda and other cannabis seltzers.

The shop also has Cubs-themed product bundles — like The W, The Grand Slam and The Triple Play — that offer varying dosage levels for all experience levels.

“As far as I know, it’s probably the only shop in the city right now offering dispensary-quality edibles in a dedicated space,” Gliszewski said.

Edibles Express joins a growing number of independent cannabis operators watching the federal Farm Bill and proposed state legislation that could further expand the hemp market. Gliszewski said if conditions line up, the team hopes to open more shops across Chicago — and possibly franchise in the future.

“Our goal is to keep cannabis accessible, familiar and part of the everyday conversation,” he said. “That starts with making it easy to walk in, grab what you need and head to the game. No stress, no pressure.”

Edibles Express by Chicago Cannabis Company is open noon-8 p.m. Monday-Saturday and noon-5 p.m. Sundays. Customers can browse the full menu here.
