ROSEN Group Invests in Sustainabile Energy

June 6, 2025

The project was officially launched at the beginning of 2025, following the successful completion of a comprehensive feasibility study and structural analysis of the selected roof areas in the previous year. The start of construction is now imminent – the solar panels have already been delivered. This marks the start of the implementation of the project, which will be completed by the end of 2025.

With an investment of around 2 million euros, ROSEN is sending a clear signal for sustainable management and visionary future prospects. The photovoltaic system covers an area of around 9,000 square meters and comprises 4,500 high-performance solar modules. An intelligent energy management system ensures demand-optimized use of the solar power generated, 98.7% of which is used for the company’s own consumption, which further increases the company’s energy efficiency and significantly reduces its dependence on external power sources. As a result, the company saves over 750 tons of CO₂ per year – equivalent to the average annual emissions of more than 75 households (source: German Federal Environment Agency).

“This project is an important step in our sustainability strategy and underlines our active contribution to the energy transition,” explains Carlos Sabido Ponce, Location Manager of the ROSEN Group in Lingen. “In doing so, we are consciously taking responsibility – both for climate protection and for strengthening our region. We are particularly proud of the close cooperation with our regional partners, who are implementing this project together with us.”

Thorsten Schlamann, Managing Director of Stadtwerke Lingen, adds: “This project is an example of regional value creation: from planning to implementation with local specialist companies. ROSEN shows here how companies implement sustainable energy solutions. We are delighted to be working with ROSEN to realize a showcase project for renewable energy in the region.” The companies Garten- und Landschaftsbau Lüske, Vrielmann GmbH and E.M.S. Sun Control GmbH are also making a significant contribution to the success of the project with their technical expertise.

The start of construction marks the beginning of the realization of a project that sets technological standards and at the same time sends a strong signal for sustainable industrial development in the Lingen region. Commissioning of the plant is planned for early 2026.
