The UK-based smartphone brand, Nothing, is launching its new generation flagship model, the Phone 3, on July 1. The company has been teasing the launch for some days now, hinting towards a major design revamp and performance upgrade. The Nothing Phone 3 is said to be the first true flagship phone by the company, making it even more premium than the Nothing Phone 2 model. 1. Design and display: Nothing phones are famously known for their transparent rear panel and the glyph light interface. However, this is going to change this year. The company has been teasing that it is killing the glyph light interface, which featured in the Phone 2 model. Therefore, the Phone 3 model may come with a new rear panel design. There are also rumours about the Essential Key coming to the Phone 3 model. For display, the Nothing Phone 3 may offer up to 3000nits peak brightness, in comparison to the Phone 2’s 1600nits brightness.
2. Performance and AI: The Nothing Phone 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. Whereas, the Phone 3 model is expected to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering a major performance boost and AI features. We can also expect greater announcements around AI as the company brings major focus to the technology development.
3. Camera: The Nothing Phone 2 model features a dual camera setup that includes a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultrawide camera. On the other hand, the upcoming Phone 3 model will likely feature a triple camera setup that may include a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and an addition of a new 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
4. Battery: The Nothing Phone 2 model is backed by a 4700mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging. Whereas, the Phone 3 is expected to get an upgrade with a 5000mAh battery that may come with 100W fast charging support. However, it should be noted that the charging adapter may be sold separately.
5. Price: The Nothing Phone 2 was launched with a starting price of ₹44,999. However, the Nothing Phone 3 model is confirmed to be priced around £800 in the UK. However, in India, the price could fall between Rs. 80000 to Rs. 90000. This showcases a major price jump from the predecessor.
