Man jailed after cannabis plants found at property
A man who was involved in the cultivation of thousands of pounds worth of cannabis has been jailed.
Paulius Juknys, 26, of Boulevard, Hull, pleaded guilty to being concerned in the production of class B cannabis following a raid on his home address in June.
He also admitted entering the UK in breach of a deportation order issued in April last year.
Juknys was sentenced to four years in prison following an appearance at Hull Crown Court last week.
Humberside Police said it executed a warrant at Juknys’ home on 27 June and discovered several rooms were being used to house in the region of 126 plants.
Juknys was arrested at his home and while in police custody he was also found to be in breach of a deportation order issued on 14 April 2024, police said.
He will be deported once he has served his sentence.
Det Con Mike Simpson said: “Drug crime causes significant harm to our communities, and we remain committed to identifying and disrupting those involved in the production and distribution of illegal substances.”
