Gummies sold at William Paca Middle School, children sickened, arrest made.

Students at William Paca and William Floyd middle schools were hospitalized last school year in two separate gummy-related incidents

An arrest was made Monday in connection with a May incident in which multiple William Paca Middle School students became sick at school after eating marijuana gummies, police said.

Jahsheem Jones, 18, of Mastic Beach was arrested Monday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, Suffolk cops said. Investigators said Jones provided cannabis gummies to a student, who then distributed them to three other children in May.

Police said Jones was issued a desk appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.

Arrests have now been made in two separate gummy-related incidents at William Floyd School District middle schools last school year.

In March, nearly a dozen students at William Floyd Middle School in Moriches became ill and were treated at local hospitals after ingesting the cannabis-infused gummies on campus. Police in May charged Wilmer Castillo-Garcia, 22, of Mastic with endangering the welfare of a child.
