Cannabis workers are developing job-related asthma and some have died, study says

New research says workers picking, grinding and packaging cannabis are developing workplace-related asthma, and two deaths have occurred so far. The study looked at data from Michigan, California, Massachusetts and Washington and found 30 cases of work-related asthma, including five from Michigan. Michigan placed fifth in the nation for overall cannabis production in 2022. An occupational health expert from MSU explains.
