The Fight for Cannabis Freedom Doesn’t Take a Holiday

Thanksgiving marks the beginning of the winter holiday season. But NORML isn’t taking a break.

Cannabis consumers are facing unprecedented threats. In many states where voters have legalized marijuana for either medical or adult use, such as Ohio and Nebraska,  lawmakers are rolling back hard-won cannabis freedoms. In Florida, administration officials are trying to halt a legalization ballot measure from going before voters. In two states – Maine and Massachusetts – opponents are collecting signatures for proposed ballot measures to repeal adult-use legalization markets.

Nationwide, prohibitionists are taking to the airwaves like never before to spread anti-cannabis propaganda to undermine public support for legalization. And at the federal level, the Justice Department has announced that it intends to ramp up low-level marijuana prosecutions, while powerful lawmakers are repealing consumers’ access to hemp-derived products and keeping medical cannabis out of reach for America’s veterans.

It’s enough to make you lose your appetite this Thanksgiving.

But NORML is fighting back. We’ve been through difficult times before and we are confident that, with your help, we can once again carry the day. NORML is the only organization that is dedicated solely to fighting for you – the cannabis consumer – and your freedoms. Help us help you by chipping in a few bucks to NORML today. And while you’re at it, encourage your friends and family to do so too.

This Thanksgiving, give the gift of freedom. And help us liberate cannabis once and for all.
