MENOMONIE (WQOW) – The City of Menomonie has finalized the sale of 29 acres in the North Industrial Park to Amazon.com Services, LLC for a new last mile delivery station.

The facility will be located at 3521 59th Street Northeast.

The North Industrial Park, developed in 2007, hosts several businesses including Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery and Hurlburt Heating and Plumbing. Amazon plans to begin construction soon, aiming to start deliveries by the end of 2026.

“We appreciate and welcome Amazon’s investment in the City of Menomonie,” said Mayor Randy Knaack.

According to Amazon, last mile facilities are where large shipments are broken down for individual orders. 

It is unclear how many jobs this will bring to the community.
