PORTLAND, Maine (WGME) — An advisory has been issued after unsafe levels of pesticides were found in certain medical marijuana.
Maine’s Office of Cannabis Policy says the five impacted strains of medical cannabis concentrates were sold at 12 MarijuanaVille retail locations in the state.
An investigation was launched after a patient complaint complained of an adverse health reaction last month, finding unsafe levels of pesticides in the “Denty Honey,” “Orange Kush Breath,” “Pineapple Mimosa,” “Raw Honey,” and “Sexy Sally” concentrates.

While Maine’s Office of Cannabis policy does not have the authority to issue a recall for medical use cannabis, they’re advising that anyone who has used these products to contact a healthcare provider if they experience symptoms or 911 in the case of an emergency.
