Dozens of Israeli environmental organizations appealed to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar on Thursday urging him to halt deliberations over Israel’s possible withdrawal from the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement on global warming. The environmental group’s request came in letters that called the step a danger to the country’s economy, diplomacy and security and a “dangerous gamble over Israel’s future.”
