Viola Davis to film Amazon movie ‘Ally Clark’ at Celtic Studios this spring

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis will film her next project at Celtic Studios this spring, the Baton Rouge facility announced on Instagram.
Davis is set to star in the upcoming Amazon film “Ally Clark,” with filming scheduled between April 6 and June 1.
Plot follows detective investigating friend’s death
According to The Cinemaholic, the plot follows Detective Ally Clark as she investigates the suspicious death of a close friend. Her inquiry into an international conglomerate takes her from Washington, D.C. to Louisiana bayous and Alaska, highlighting the conspiracy’s scope.
Davis’s latest performance was as President Danielle Sutton in “G20,” also an Amazon Prime movie. She is known for starring in “The Help,” “The Woman King,” and “Fences,” for which she won an Academy Award.
Davis has EGOT status through her Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and multiple Tony Award wins.
Award-winning director Phillip Noyce is set to direct. His films include Jack Ryan movies starring Harrison Ford, “The Bone Collector” starring Denzel Washington, and “Salt” starring Angelina Jolie.
Louisiana is getting renewed attention from Hollywood. The blockbuster ‘Sinners’ was filmed in Donaldsonville. It is nominated for a record-breaking 16 Academy Awards, including Best Picture.
