EXCLUSIVE: Aaron Pierre is set to co-star alongside Margaret Qualley in Love of Your Life for Amazon MGM Studios. Patrick Schwarzenegger is also on board, with Rachel Morrison directing. Julia Cox wrote the script, and Ryan Gosling and Jessie Henderson are producing through their Open Invite Entertainment banner.

Plot details are under wraps. Deadline was first to report the major script sale in October after an intense bidding war, which Gosling and Henderson won for Amazon MGM. 

Pierre is coming off a monster year in which he not only had roles in hit films but also landed one of the more sought after roles of 2024 for Netflix’s Rebel Ridge. He scored wins for the thriller at both the Gotham TV Awards and the NAACP Image Awards.

He followed that up by voicing Mufasa in Barry Jenkins’ Mufasa: The Lion King, which grossed more than $700 million at the worldwide box office.

Pierre also landed a lead role in HBO’s Green Lantern series Lanterns, which is currently in production. Also on the TV side, recently was cast in a leading role in the latest season of The Morning Show.
