June 4, 2026

African Safari Wildlife Park is celebrating World Environment Day by supporting local wildlife conservation efforts, according to a news release.
On June 5, the park will donate $1 to Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge for every vehicle that visits the Park, the release said.
The donation will help support habitat conservation, wildlife protection and educational programs throughout the refuge.
“As a wildlife park, conservation is at the heart of what we do,” said Kelsey Keller, chief operating officer for the African Safari Wildlife Park, in the release. “We’re proud to support Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge and give our guests an opportunity to make a difference simply by visiting the Park.”
Friends of Ottawa National Wildlife Refuge supports programs and initiatives that help protect wildlife and preserve important natural habitats along Ohio’s Lake Erie shoreline.
World Environment Day serves as a global call to protect the environment, raising awareness of the importance of conservation and inspiring action to preserve wildlife and natural habitats for future generations.
The Ohio Safari Park, African Safari Wildlife Park, is located at 267 S. Lightner Road in Port Clinton.
