Environmental Protection Agency set to cut its Office of Research and Development
Politicians and research groups have expressed alarm over US Environmental Protection Agency plans to dismantle its Office of Research and Development, which carries out studies that inform policies regarding the management of chemicals in the environment.
The EPA announced on 18 July that it was downsizing to save $748.8 million, and that this “will impact the ORD”, without specifying how it would be impacted.
