EXCLUSIVE: Amazon MGM Studios has come on to the untitled medical dramawith Diego and Natalie Boneta exec producing through their Three Amigos production banner. The show was created by Caro Rivera and José Miguel Núñez and will also be exec produced by Fernando Sariñana and Fernando Sariñana Jr. through their Along with Amazon Mexico.

Plot details are being kept under wraps at this time but seen as Grey’s Anatomy meets ER set in Mexico City.

The deal comes as the Bonetas continue to build out a strong and robust development slate for their production company, Three Amigos, which they founded in tktkt. The company recently re-upped their overall deal with Amazon, which sees a big future with not only Diego but with Three Amigos as Amazon continues to prioritiez star driven premium content for Spanish speaking countries around the world.

Amazon Mexico sees them as Three Amigos as a major presence going forward starting with series based on the comic El Gato. The series will drop next year and Amazon Mexico next year with the company is very excited about going into next year. Amazon see it as having the potential as a Jack Ryan and see Diego having a similar presence at the company moving forward at Amazon similar to what Alan Ritchson has had since Reacher premiered.

This comes following the success of the Spanish-language pic Juegos de Succion, which did monsters numbers in Spanish Language countries when it bowed and was the number one film in Mexico. Diego is aiming with huge budgets but with productions set in Latin America that feed the Mexican audience but are so good that they travel globally.

Three Amigos is also producing the Fidel Castro pic Killing Castro, which stars Diego as the titular character and premiered at this years Toronto Film Festival. Diego also recently wrote the novel The Undoing, which was released by Amazon Publishing and was voted best audiobook by audible español 2025
