Bookworms rejoice! Amazon has launched its first-ever book sale, offering up to 70% off best-selling books from authors such as Freida McFadden, Sarah J. Maas, Bob Mortimer, and Rebecca Yarros. Both print books and Kindle books are included in the sale, with hundreds of digital Kindle books reduced to as little as 99p. However, the deal isn’t just limited to books; some of Amazon’s top tech items are also included in the sale. 

Several Kindle models are reduced. The Kindle Scribe has savings of up to £85, Kindle Kids devices are discounted by £20, and the Kindle Kids Paperwhite is discounted by £25.   There are also deals on Echo devices. There is up to 38% off Echo Dot kids and 33% off the Echo Pop.

The sale runs until April 28, 2025, and like other Amazon sales, prices and discounts will likely change throughout the duration. There are also select daily deals on each section that will change, so if you spot a book you want, you’ll need to snap it up while the daily deal is live.

However, Prime members will benefit from fast, free delivery, plus a host of additional reading-based offers as part of their subscription, including access to eBooks, audiobooks, magazines, and comics.

We’ve rounded up some of the top deals from the brand-new book sale below. 

There’s nothing like flipping through the pages of a brand-new book, and as part of the Amazon book sale, you can save up to 70% off printed books. There is up to 70% off fiction titles, including best-sellers such as Good Material by Dolly Alderton, Godmersham Park by Gill Hornby, and The Husbands by Holly Gramazio. 

Children’s favourites are also included in the sale, with 60% off children’s books. Some of the most popular items included in the sale are Taylor Swift, Little People Big Dreams by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara, Guess How Much I Love You: One More Tickle! by Sam McBratney, and The Goldfish Boy by Lisa Thompson.

Teen and young adult reads are discounted by 60%. Some of the best-selling titles included in the sale span Rosie Frost and the Falcon Queen by Geri Halliwell-Horner and The Loop by Ben Oliver

Cooking lovers are also covered with up to 60% off cookery books. These include For The Love Of Food by Paul Ainsworth, Air Fryer Easy Everyday by Dom Milner and Wagamama Soul Kitchen.

Amazon has slashed hundreds of Kindle books down to just 99p. In addition to best-selling Kindle reads, there will also be daily deals that will change throughout the sale. Kindle books can be purchased digitally via your Amazon account and downloaded to your advice. Once purchased, they’re automatically added to your library and can be read on any Kindle device. 

The current sale marks a discount of as much as 92% on select best-selling Kindle books.

Some of the best-selling Kindle books include Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult, Go as a River by Shelley Read and A Time for Mercy by John Grisham.

Kindle Scribe

Amazon has discounted the Kindle Scribe by £85, marking one of the biggest savings in the sale on Kindle devices. The Kindle Scribe isn’t just for reading but also for writing, doubling up as somewhere to doodle pictures, thoughts and ideas. There’s even the option to convert your notes to text form and send on via email. You can opt for three different storage options, ranging from 16GB to 64GB. 

As part of the deal, you can get the grey version of the Kindle Scripe for  £294.99, down from £379.99

Kindle Kids

The sale has discounted the Kindle Kids by £20. The device is perfect for the little book lovers in your life, with enhanced display features and faster page turns to keep kids engaged. The tablet is designed to be used during the day and in darker settings,  with 25% brighter front light at max setting and a glare-free screen. 

The device comes with a cover in one of three different themes: Unicorn Valley (all pink glitter and magical characters), Space Whale (a whale floating through a galactic universe) and Ocean Explorer (a fun, blue, underwater world). As part of the sale, you can buy the device for £94.99 (down from £114.99). 

Kindle kids Paperwhite

The Kindle Kids Paperwhite is one of the newer Kindle devices for kids. Its screen has a higher contrast for easier reading and 25% faster page turns to keep little readers engaged. The device comes with six months of Amazon Kids and a child-friendly cover in one of two themes (Cyber City or Starfish). 

As part of the current sale, you can purchase the device for £149.99, down from £169.99.

Echo devices are also included in the sale. The clever device uses Amazon Alexa to play music and audiobooks. 

Echo Dot Kids

The Echo Dot for Kids is suitable for children ages one year and up. Kids can use the device to ask Alexa to play music, read bedtime stories, and get help with homework. The device can stream music and audiobooks from Amazon Music, Apple Music, Spotify, and more. 

The Echo Dot is fun and colourful, perfect for children’s bedrooms. As part of the sale, you can get the Echo Dot for £39.99, down from £64.99. 

Echo Pop

The Echo Pop is a Bluetooth smart speaker that comes equipped with Alexa, so it can search the internet for you or play music and audiobooks. It can even be connected to compatible smart home devices like plugs or lights.

As part of the Amazon Book sale, you can get an Echo Pop for £29.99 down from £44.99.
